Position Highlights
SUMMARY: Essential to facility operation and adherence to government and Osceola Regional Health Center and Osceola Senior Living regulations and expectations for cleanliness, safety and sanitation, and infection control. Maintains a clean work environment in all assigned areas which may include both patient and non-patient areas. Washes, dries, and transports linen and resident clothing as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Cleans all areas of hospital and senior living campus as assigned. Always follows guidelines for infection control. Maintains a clean and neat working environment for areas of the hospital and senior living facilities; may be responsible for cleaning at other hospital affiliated entities. Collects, sorts, and washes soiled linen, dries, sorts, and folds clean linen. Weighs and records linen usage by department. Assist with marking personal belongings of residents while cleaning in rooms. Keeps cleaning agents properly labeled and stored according to policies and procedures and in compliance with OSHA guidelines and regulations. Understands all chemicals used in the laundry area and knows the location and use of material safety data sheets (MSDS). Participates in all cleaning and laundry activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, emptying trash, washing, drying, folding, ironing, transporting, and labeling linen and resident clothing. Dispense soap, paper towels, tissue, and other supplies to patient/resident rooms and general use areas. Report repair needs/equipment malfunctions to administrator or maintenance department as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.
