  • Licenses/Certs: Must be TEE certified, completed ACGME CV anesthesiology fellowship, and achieved testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of CV anesthesia experience if not fellowship-trained; prior cardiac surgery and general OR experience preferred.

  • Pay rate: Detailed per-hour rates provided upon application, including orientation ($275-285/hour), standard hours ($550-570/hour), holiday ($825-855/hour), and on-call rates ($1,300-$1,500/night, holiday night call $1,950-$2,250).

What You'll Do
  • Provide advanced cardiac anesthesiology services for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart procedures
  • Assist with general OR cases as needed
  • Support from trained support staff, including supervision of CRNA as required
  • Perform intraoperative TEE and invasive/non-invasive cardiology procedures
  • Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams in a high-volume environment
  • Cover scheduled and unscheduled call shifts, including holidays and overnight periods
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain high standards of patient care in a Level 1 Trauma / Academic setting
What You Need
Required:
  • CV anesthesia fellowship (ACGME or equivalent)
  • Certified in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)
  • TEE certification
  • Minimum 5 years of CV anesthesia experience (or fellowship-trained with recent experience)
  • Active Nebraska medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Preferred:
  • Experience in high-volume cardiac surgery centers
  • Ability to work independently and supervise anesthesia colleagues or CRNA
