Position Highlights
POSITION SUMMARY: Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for the knowledge and capabilities to perform diagnostic cardiac sonographic procedures utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data. The cardiac sonographer will assist the physicians and cardiologists with imaging procedures and perform imaging exams according to the accepted protocols. Sonographer will scan procedures independently while exercising professional judgment in the performance of procedures.
* This position is a day shift only. There is no holiday, weekend or on call involvement. *
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound Program preferred, or current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCs) (AE).
Optional: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (PE)
Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience required.
BLS (CPR) certified or obtained within 3 months of employment.
