Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health & Safety, the Environmental Health & Safety Manager will ensure compliance with federal, state, local government and industry standards. Emphasis is on environmental regulations, hazardous materials, safety, interim life safety, waste water, indoor environmental quality, asbestos compliance, fire/life safety, OSHA/EPA and other relevant regulatory programs. This position will be expected to work toward developing, implementing and assessing site compliance with internal standards, regulatory agencies, and other national guidelines and standards. Utilizes working knowledge of EHS regulatory compliance through observation and functional analytical skills to identify, review and assess compliance. Performs risk assessments of research laboratory and summarizes key aspects of regulatory statutes in format for reports to department management. Additionally supports risk assessments of clinical areas to manage Joint Commission (JC) and Environment of Care (EC) industry standards. Strong communications and cross team collaborations across departments and amongst clinical staff in advancing initiatives. This position works independently and/or under the daily direction of the EHS Director to implement programs and technical tasks while routinely collaborating with other EHS staff to ensure continuous coverage of all department duties. Participates in committee/subcommittee meetings and may lead EC/Safety specific recurring meetings. Coordinates committee findings and communicates to appropriate department representatives. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree – Field of study: industrial hygiene, public health, emergency management, natural & physical sciences or relatable degree. 3-5 years of related EHS experience with a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.

Assistance with the on-call pager.
Pay Range:
$100,006.00 USD - $134,992.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
Anna Jaques Hospital is a 123 bed community hospital serving 17 cities and towns in the Merrimack Valley .
