JOB REQUIREMENTS
Board: BE/BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (ABEM preferred; if not ABEM, ACLS, ATLS, PALS required)
Licenses: Active Louisiana state license required
DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address required
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS required if not ABEM certified
Experience: Residency trained in specialty required
Other Qualifications: Must be willing to work night and day shifts; flu/immunization waiver available
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages presenting to the ED.
Rapidly assess, diagnose, and stabilize acute conditions, including trauma, cardiac, and neurological emergencies.
Coordinate with on-call specialists (Cardiology, Ortho, General Surgery, etc.) for complex cases.
Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (NPPA) during their coverage hours.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Ochsner EPIC EMR.
