Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

An occupational health organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Richmond, VA to support a high-volume screening event focused on Human Performance Exams and medical clearance evaluations. This role involves conducting focused physical assessments, determining fit-for-duty status, and documenting results accurately in a fast-paced clinical setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Friday 6/26
  • Hours: 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Setting: Onsite clinical event

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Human Performance Exams, including functional movement and musculoskeletal assessments
  • Evaluate lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling capabilities
  • Conduct focused physical exams and health screenings, including vitals and medical history review
  • Determine medical clearance and fit-for-duty status based on clinical findings and job demands
  • Document evaluations accurately and communicate findings in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license
  • Experience in occupational health, urgent care, employee health, or pre-employment screenings
  • Ability to make clinical clearance decisions and assess functional capacity for job-specific tasks
  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume screening setting
  • Availability to commit to the full shift
