What You ll Do:
  • Evaluate and treat patients in the Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED)
  • Manage care for unassigned OB/GYN patients
  • Monitor labor and interpret fetal heart tracings
  • Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
  • Serve as a safety net for labor and delivery
  • Provide consults to ED and hospital floors for pregnancy and gynecologic concerns
  • Manage postpartum patients prior to discharge
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies and labor complications
  • Participate in emergency drills and quality improvement initiatives focused on maternal and neonatal outcomes
  • Follow evidence-based protocols ensuring patient safety and quality care

What You Need:
  • MD or DO with current Texas Medical License or willingness to obtain
  • Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Recent delivery and surgical experience, including emergency obstetrical procedures
  • Ability to work a flexible 24-hour schedule and respond to emergency situations
