Credentialing
  • days standard
  • Emergency/temporary privileges available
  • Active Illinois license required
  • Iowa license in process acceptable
Schedule
  • days per month (schedule posted 90 days in advance)
  • Preferred model: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
  • 24-hour call coverage (7pm 7pm shifts)
  • 7-day call blocks (Monday PM to Monday PM)
  • Highly flexible scheduling options

Call Requirements:

  • 15-minute phone response expectation
  • 60-minute on-site response from nearby hotel
Patient Volume
  • 1 2 procedures per OR day
  • 2 3 OR days per week
Clinical Scope
  • Bread-and-butter urology
  • Inpatient and outpatient continuity of care
  • Trauma consult coverage
  • Cystoscopy and standard urologic procedures
  • Collaborative care with APPs and urology team

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Urologist to provide locum coverage within a high-acuity, multi-site health system spanning Illinois and Iowa. Provider will deliver both inpatient and outpatient urologic care, including OR procedures, consult services, and clinic coverage. This role offers a highly flexible block schedule with 24-hour call responsibilities and strong procedural volume within a well-supported surgical environment.

  • Able to commit to block scheduling consistency
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
