Position Overview Arc Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatry Physician to provide high-quality behavioral health services in a locum tenens role. This position offers the opportunity to serve diverse and underserved populations while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a supportive clinical environment.

Facility Overview The Fort Yuma Service Unit is located on the Quechan/Fort Yuma Indian Reservation in southwestern Arizona, serving members of the Quechan and Cocopah Tribes.

The facility provides comprehensive healthcare services, including:
  • Primary Care
  • Behavioral Health
  • Pediatrics
  • Preventive Medicine
  • Dental Services
Patients requiring higher-acuity care are referred to regional facilities in Yuma or Phoenix.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions (mood, anxiety, psychotic, substance use disorders, etc.)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and care plans
Qualifications Required:
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Completion of accredited Psychiatry Residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Minimum 3 years residency training + 2 years specialty experience
  • Active, unrestricted medical license
  • Current DEA registration
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Clean NPDB
  • Eligible for Medicare/Medicaid billing (CMS)
  • Ability to obtain credentialing and privileges
Preferred:
  • Previous locum tenens experience
  • Experience in rural, tribal, or underserved settings
  • Familiarity with EMR systems

  • Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • 30-minute lunch included
  • Outpatient setting (with potential for inpatient/consults depending on need)
  • Flexible scheduling options available
  • Call requirements (if applicable) discussed during interview
