Facility:
This is a 48-bed licensed behavioral health facility that specializes in general behavioral health services for adult patients. The facility maintains a supportive team environment with nurse practitioners providing additional clinical support and follows a structured rotation schedule to ensure consistent patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Psychiatry
Job Details:
• Work 8-hour shifts with a unique 14 days on, 14 days off schedule
• Rotation starts on Monday and ends on Sunday with weekend PM call coverage during the 14-day rotation
• Weekend call coverage includes 8a-5p shifts on Saturday and Sunday
• Handle 15-20 patient encounters per shift in an acute psychiatric unit setting
• Must be a local or drive-in candidate only - no out-of-area candidates considered
• Work as the sole psychiatrist on-site during rotation, alternating with one other psychiatrist
• Collaborate with 2 inpatient nurse practitioners and PRN NPs for additional support
• Manage various psychiatric conditions including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders
• Handle involuntary commitments as required
• Utilize treatment techniques including pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and ECT
• Must be board certified or board eligible
• Indiana medical license required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 2 weeks
• Lodging available at Home2 Suites with corporate rates
