Neurologist Locum Opportunity Northern Michigan January 2026 Start
Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to provide locum tenens coverage in Northern Michigan, beginning January 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive clinical team in a hospital-based setting with a consistent patient load and manageable schedule.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: January 2026
- Schedule:
- Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (on-site)
- Outpatient Clinic: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 1:00 PM 3:00 PM (within 8-hour day)
- Call: After-hours call required
- EEG: Inpatient and outpatient reads as needed
- Average Patient Volume: 6 8 per day
- EMR: Cerner
Required Procedures:
- Radiologic Exam Interpretation
- Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap)
- EEG
- Brain Death Examination
- Evoked Potentials
Submission Requirements:
(All must be included and clearly notated at time of name clear)
- Board Certified in Neurology (Required BE not accepted)
- Active Michigan Medical License (Required at time of submission)
- Active DEA Registration (Required)
- BLS and ACLS Certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale and tPA competency Preferred
- Clean malpractice history
- Include carrier, coverage limits, and confirm malpractice is included in rate
