A Virginia facility is seeking an obstetrics hospitalist physician for locum tenens coverage. The role includes 24-hour call coverage with support from other obstetricians, general surgeons, and emergency medicine physicians.
- Certification Requirements: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology; Electronic fetal monitoring certification required
- License Requirements: Virginia license required
- Patient Volume: 72 deliveries per month
- Setting: Labor and delivery unit
- Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
- Support Staff:
- Backup from other obstetricians, general surgery, and emergency medicine
- In-house anesthesia available 24/7
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Labor and delivery coverage
- Emergent gynecology only
- Assigned and unassigned patient deliveries
- Call: 24-hour call
