ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for temporary summer coverage. This role supports the Emergency Department during an APP s parental leave and involves collaborative practice with on-site physician supervision. The provider will care for a broad patient population in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

Critical Access Hospital trauma designation
Patient population: Pediatric through adult (predominantly geriatric)
24/7 Radiology
24/7 Laboratory
AABB-certified Blood Bank
24/7 OR availability
24/7 Anesthesia
General Surgery services
Practice with supervising physician on-site (no autonomous coverage)
Not responsible for responding to house codes (physician-only response)
Interpret EKGs
Monitor/supervise paramedics via radio
Deliveries routed directly to Labor & Delivery
Access to consulting services including Radiology, Critical Care, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Urology, Hematology/Oncology, and Psychiatry
On-call physician response time: 30 minutes (per bylaws)
Board Certification:
AANP (NP) or
NCCPA (PA)
Active Massachusetts state license (required prior to start)
ACLS certification
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience (no new graduates)
Self-Query NPDB (within one month of presentation)
