  • Inpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment

    • Depression
    • Anxiety disorders
    • Bipolar disorder
    • Schizophrenia spectrum disorders
    • Personality disorders
    • Substance use disorders
    • Co-occurring medical/psychiatric conditions

  • Active Massachusetts NP license preferred
  • Will consider candidates needing MA licensure
Certifications
  • PMHNP Certification required

  • BLS preferred/required per facility standards
Job Description

Seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient behavioral health coverage at a Massachusetts-based behavioral health center. Provider will manage a diverse psychiatric patient population in a structured inpatient setting, delivering evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Document care accurately and timely in EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff
  • Coordinate care with families, case managers, and external stakeholders
Ideal Candidate
  • 1+ year inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
  • Strong interest in acute behavioral health care
  • Experience with vulnerable populations (substance use, homelessness, severe mental illness)
  • Strong communication and collaborative care approach
  • Comfortable in structured inpatient environment
