GME Director for Stable Emergency Medicine Program

Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a GME Medical Director for its 13-Year-old Emergency Medicine Residency program. This is a leadership opportunity to step into a mature, stable program with strong institutional support and a planned, collaborative transition from a tenured outgoing Program Director of 10+ years.

- Planned Leadership Transition - Outgoing Program Director is retiring and will provide a warm handoff to ensure continuity and success
Position Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Medicine residency program
- Ensure full compliance with ACGME Common Program Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of: Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), Program Evaluation Committee (PEC), ADS reporting and milestone assessments
- Oversee resident recruitment, evaluation, mentoring, and professional development
- Support curriculum development, program growth, and scholarly activity
- Foster faculty development and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison with the sponsoring institution, hospital leadership, and GME office
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO, Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Minimum 3 years of core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited EM residency
- Eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor level or higher through the sponsoring university
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as Associate Program Director or Program Director
- Demonstrated academic or operational leadership experience
- Fellowship training (preferred but not required)
- Proven engagement in curriculum development, research, or program innovation
Compensation & Structure
- Base Salary $500,000
- Plus Medical Director Stipend
- Combined W2 and 1099 position
- 1099 for clinical emergency department shifts
