• Case Mix: General urology, including cystoscopies, testosterone pellets, ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies, urodynamics, da Vinci prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, ESWL, reconstruction, vasectomy reversals

• No. of Beds in Department: 420 licensed bed facility

• Trauma Level: Level 2

• EMR System: TBD

• Office Equipment Available: In-office lab services

• Specialty Backup Available: Interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, radiology, stroke center, pain management

• Support Staff Available: 3 NPs, robust hospitalist service, APP support

• Reason for Coverage: Vacancy/Expansion

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active AL medical license (preferred)

• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

• Experience: Experience with general adult urologic conditions

• Other Qualifications: Comfort working with hospital-employed group and in clinic + OR settings

D UTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and treat adult urologic conditions in outpatient and hospital settings

• Perform required urological procedures and surgeries

• Provide inpatient consults and rounding support

• Participate in 1 in 6 weekend call rotation

• Supervise or collaborate with APPs

• Participate in teaching opportunities through ACOM and residency programs
