Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Maine Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
  • Outpatient physical therapy experience required. Experience evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting progress in electronic medical records.
  • Ability to perform safe patient handling and follow clinic safety policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to supervise students and coordinate discipline-specific therapy services as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with functional treatment programs aimed at community reintegration.
  • Prior experience in a travel or multi-site outpatient environment preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 5x8.

Impacting Patient Care

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals and physician direction. Complete clear, concise, accurate and timely documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry using approved formats. Ensure care is provided under signed physician orders and within insurance approvals as required. Participate in student education and professional development activities. Adhere to state practice act, maintain professional licensure and complete required continuing education. Support organizational performance improvement initiatives and maintain a focus on patient and employee safety.
