Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location: 106 Ribaut Rd, Beaufort, SC 29902
Schedule: Every Wednesday 5 Hours per Week
Duration: 3 + Month (Long Team contract)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a correctional healthcare setting. The NP will collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Obtain, assess, and document inmate health histories.
• Conduct admission assessments and procedures for critically ill patients.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Prescribe and manage medications, fluids, nutrition, and respiratory treatments as appropriate.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and modify care plans when necessary.
• Document patient progress notes and prepare discharge summaries.
• Perform emergency interventions, including resuscitation procedures as required.
• Perform advanced clinical procedures, including but not limited to:
o Suprapubic bladder taps
o Percutaneous central venous catheter placements
• Provide infirmary coverage when assigned.
• Respond to physician calls and clinical emergencies during scheduled coverage.
• Perform minor procedures, including suturing, when necessary.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff and students.
• Educate, counsel, and monitor patients regarding treatment plans and healthcare management.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications
• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the State of South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration (if applicable).
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
• Experience in correctional, emergency, urgent care, primary care, or acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to perform advanced clinical procedures and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
