Position Overview
Serve patients in moments that matter and be a part of the future of health care. SCP Health, a physician-founded and physician-led organization, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join the Emergency Department at Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton, Illinois.
This opportunity offers the ability to practice high-quality emergency medicine in a well-supported, remodeled Emergency Department, with strong specialty capabilities, advanced monitoring technology, and a collaborative clinical environment.
Clinical & Program Details
- Patient Volume: 25,000 ED visits annually
- Specialties: Emergency Medicine
- Pediatrics: Emergency Department approved for pediatrics by the State of Illinois
- Stroke Care: Certified Stroke Center (Joint Commission)
- 24-hour physician coverage
- 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- 12 hours of NP/PA coverage
- ED Size: 16-bed, remodeled Emergency Department
- Acuity: Moderate
- EMR: EPIC
- Procedures: Full-scope emergency medicine procedures
- ICU: Available
- Admissions/Transfers: Supported by inpatient services and regional resources
Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Licensure: Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal or Family Medicine
- Experience: Prior Emergency Department experience preferred
- Clinical Skills: Broad emergency medicine skill set appropriate for a community hospital setting
- Badges: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ability to obtain)
