Safety, Health & Environmental Manager

Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager to join their team. As a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager, you will be part of the safety and compliance department supporting site safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Safety, Health & Environmental Manager

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Pay Range: $50.48 - $52.88/hr 

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Duration:
 4-month assignment to cover a leave of absence (LOA), with the possibility of an extension.

What's the Job?

  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and conduct regular safety observations.
  • Investigate and report incidents as needed to ensure safety compliance.
  • Provide support and coverage across all shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift operations.
  • Prepare and present monthly safety reports to management.
  • Serve as a strong leader and communicator, promoting a culture of safety and health throughout the facility.

What's Needed?

  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across all shifts, including early mornings and late nights.
  • Experience supporting safety and compliance activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with employees while confidently enforcing safety policies and procedures.
