Nurse Practitioner IILocation: Haynesville, Virginia 22472Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per WeekShift Options:• Monday Friday (8-hour shifts)• OR 4 x 10-hour shiftsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Nurse Practitioner II to provide comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting. This role requires advanced clinical expertise, independent decision-making, and current certification/licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with physicians as needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments.
• Provide preventive healthcare services and patient education.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Prescribe medications, controlled substances, and medical devices in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on established clinical protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
Required• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and licensure.
• Ability to practice independently within scope of licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
Preferred• Prior experience practicing in a primary care, family medicine, correctional healthcare, or similar clinical setting.
• Experience managing a diverse patient population.
Work Environment
