Job Description
We're hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position where you will use clinical expertise to ensure the safe and thoughtful distribution of medications for patients across inpatient and rehab settings. Minimum Requirements:
- Current Florida Pharmacist License required.
- Sterile compounding experience required.
- Experience with renal dosing, IV to PO conversion, electrolyte management, vancomycin and aminoglycoside dosing, and TPN (Clinimix) dosing preferred.
- Familiarity with medication verification and antimicrobial de-escalation preferred.
- Experience using DoseEdge, Pharmacy Stars, VigiLanz, and Meditech Expanse preferred.
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with medical and nursing staff required.
- Experience overseeing pharmacy technicians preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum six months of pharmacist experience preferred.
- Previous travel pharmacy experience preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM.
- Unit: Hospital pharmacy serving a 90-bed facility including 30 inpatient rehab beds.
- Documentation system: Meditech Expanse.
- May require closing pharmacist to take call.
- May be expected to oversee pharmacy technicians while performing duties.
