Physical Therapist - Outpatient (Travel)


Join a busy outpatient clinic in Alexandria, VA as a Physical Therapist. Provide evaluations, develop and modify treatment plans, and deliver discipline-specific therapy services that support patients returning to community activities. Document care accurately, participate in student education as assigned, and engage in professional development. Adhere to state practice acts, maintain licensure, and follow organizational safety and compliance expectations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Virginia state PT license required to start the assignment.
  • Minimum 6 months of outpatient physical therapy experience required.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
  • Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, writing functional goals, and producing timely documentation including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
  • Ability to follow physician orders and insurance requirements relevant to outpatient care.
  • Compliance with state practice act and ability to maintain professional licensure and required continuing education.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising or providing direction to therapy assistants or students.
  • Prior experience with outpatient electronic medical record systems and charge entry processes.


Assignment Details

  • Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM daily.
  • Work pattern: 5x8 schedule.
