POSITION SUMMARY:
The position serves in a broad range of duties as a coordinator to the Imaging area to aid in the daily function of performing diagnostic procedures and rendering diagnoses. The Imaging / PACS Coordinator functions as the backup PACS Administrator, assists the Director and Manager with pulling data for reports and makes PACS corrections. She/he communicates well both verbally and in writing. Performs daily routines such as charge reconciliations, resolves exceptions and other related issues in PACS.
The Imaging / PACS Coordinator also meets the hospital's continuing education requirements by enhancing professional growth and development through participation in educational program, current literature, In-service meetings, and workshops, as well as association groups.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent. A.S. or B.S. Preferred. Prior experience in a position with frequent public contact is desirable. Prior experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging Department preferred.
