Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Virginia Physical Therapy license required prior to the start of the assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from AHA or ARC.
  • Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, including treatment of geriatric, orthopedic, and neurologic populations such as joint replacements and post-stroke care.
  • Experience with common outpatient equipment preferred: cryotherapy, heating pads, antigravity devices, TENS units, and parallel bars.
  • Ability to work autonomously within an outpatient clinic attached to a hospital. Travel candidates must reside at least 50 miles outside the facility at time of placement.
  • New graduates will be considered; experience preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital outpatient clinic.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Assignment duration: 13 weeks.
  • Travel candidates only. Open to temp-to-perm conversion.
  • Interview process: ITO interview followed by manager interview.
  • Patient population: Ambulatory geriatric outpatients with orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses.
