Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Michigan physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in acute care and skilled nursing preferred. Client notes hospital has both acute care and skilled nursing unit (SNU); experience with SNU or acute care patients is desirable.
  • Inpatient (IP) experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work with facility electronic medical records; facility will provide training for Net Health and Agile EMRs.
  • Willingness to float within the facility, including coverage of hospital units and potential assistance in outpatient (OP) as needed beginning around mid-June.
  • Guaranteed 35 hours per week; 40 hours expected.


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Hospital (acute care and skilled nursing unit).
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Days and Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Average daily treatment load: varies; average 330–420 minutes of treatment per day.
  • Site capacity: 47 acute care beds and 39 skilled nursing facility beds.
