Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active New York State Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required.
  • Client requires experience with documentation in skilled nursing settings and familiarity with Medicare therapy guidelines.
  • Ability to manage caseloads, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Preferred: experience with restorative nursing programs and use of common SNF equipment such as tilt tables, gait training devices, and adaptive seating. Preferred: experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in post-acute care.
