| Physical Requirements | This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens. |

| Job Summary | This position will provide clinical and operational support for the gastroenterology and rheumatology service lines within the Pediatric Specialty Clinic. The UK HealthCare Specialty Pharmacy is designed to optimize patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes by supporting physicians and clinic-providers during initiation of medications including patient counseling, medication reconciliation, toxicity monitoring, and the creation of drug-specific clinical pathways. As part of the UK HealthCare Specialty Pharmacy team, you will work closely with a group of dedicated pharmacists and technicians providing benefits investigation, financial support, clinical monitoring, education, and dispensing for a variety of sub-specialty services. Additionally, this position will establish safe practices for infusion therapy handling, as well as collaborating and communicating with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients.
