As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll provide essential hands-on support that empowers people to live meaningful, independent lives.

If you have experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs, working in group homes, residential facilities, or behavioral health settings, you’ll be a strong match for our highest‑need programs.

Shifts Available

We are hiring for 2nd Shift across multiple Grand Rapids locations:

8‑Hour Shifts

  • 2nd Shift: 3p–11p

12‑Hour Shifts

  • 7a–7p

Full-Time, Part-Time, and On-Call opportunities available. Every other weekend required.

What You’ll Do

  • Support individuals with MI/DD in daily living activities

  • Provide behavioral support using established safety protocols

  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and mobility

  • Administer medications and monitor health needs

  • Prepare meals and support dietary plans

  • Provide transportation and engage individuals in community activities

  • Encourage independence, skill-building, and positive relationships

What We’re Looking For

  • We offer opportunities in select residential programs where no prior experience is needed—we’ll train you.
  • At least one year of experience supporting individuals with IDD, mental illness, or behavioral challenges in our specialized programs.  

  • Comfort working with individuals who may display behaviors such as hitting, kicking, biting, or elopement

  • Ability to follow behavioral support plans and safety protocols

  • High school diploma preferred

  • Valid driver’s license (site-dependent)

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Ability to pass background checks

  • Basic computer skills

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
