Reports To: Nurse Manager
SUMMARY
Provides general nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Directs and guides patient teaching, activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Demonstrates environmental concerns of infection control practice, safety/fire practice, disaster practice, cardiac arrest practice and continuous quality improvement aware of patient safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional or line to 10 persons, depending on shift.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Diploma, A.A. or Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from an accredited school of nursing; appropriate and clinical experience and/or training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Registered nurse licensure in the State of Minnesota. BLS certification is required upon hire and renewed annually. ACLS certification within two years.
