Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist
ARDMS credentials required.

Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer) include but are not limited to:

· Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner

· Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner

· Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images

· Maintain statistical results for quality improvement

· Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results

Qualifications

· A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program

· Valid ARDMS certification required: RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or ARDMS AB (abdomen specialty) or ARDMS OB/GYN

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist

· Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380+ bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen-acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches.
