Job Summary:

To conduct clinical research and/or perform clinical duties.

Education & Experience

Must be a Nurse Practitioner, Early Interventionist, Physical Therapist, Psychometrist, Psychologist, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Counselor who has graduated or expects to graduate within 120 days of fellowship hire date from an accredited program in the respective field.  

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:  None--Fellows will accrue experience and training toward licensure in respective area.

Written and verbal communications skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Leadership skills. Clinical research skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides the required clinical care to meet state licensing standards.
  • Initiates, designs, executes, and publishes research. Presents clinical and research findings at local and state/national conferences.
  • Develops presentations and presents research findings when necessary and as required by program.
  • Presents in-service training to staff as needed. Lectures to medical students and residents.
  • Prepares and submits grant applications and obtains institutional approvals for research studies.
  • Designs plan for developing advanced clinical skills in one or more areas of practice. Prepares for state licensing.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, occasional driving, frequent sitting, occasional standing, and occasional walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more).
