Imaging Repair Technician

Job Description

Customer Service:

  • To provide customer service with timely and accurate repairs to radiology equipment.
    Installation:
  • Assist with installations of imaging systems.
    Emergency Service:
  • The incumbent provides emergency service in an on-call capacity.
    Equipment Knowledge:
  • The incumbent serves as a source of technical information and training.  Extended travel is required to attend OEM training.
    Regulatory Knowledge:
  • It is essential that the Incumbent provide good documentation of maintenance to meet FDA and JCAHO requirements.
    Budget:
  • The incumbent is expected to provide input in budgeting and have an understanding of all departmental functions.
    Requirements:
  • An associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Radiology Technician and at least five years’ experience on specific imaging systems is preferred.
  • The Incumbent must know JCAHO, NFPA, and SMDA standards.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • This position requires the ability to trouble-shoot electronic equipment to component level.
