Job Summary:

To receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items. To assist with warehousing and inventory control.

High School Diploma/GED.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of shipping and receiving process and inventory control. Knowledge of administrative procedures such as maintaining files. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and issues supplies; maintains inventory.
  • Examines and inspects stock for damage or defects.
  • Establishes and maintains inventory files and record-keeping systems.
  • Monitors and maintains accurate logs of equipment and materials usage.
  • Verifies inventory levels and orders supplies as needed or requested.
  • Distributes petty cash, upon manager approval, to department employees for approved departmental expenses.
  • Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, constant lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, constant sitting, frequent standing, frequent twisting, and frequent walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
