Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Nursing and the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, provides nursing leadership for assessing, planning , implementing and evaluating patient care and safety in assigned areas of responsibility in a Cardiac Specialty Unit.
Collaborates with physicians and other departments to coordinate the needs of patients and their families.
Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
Supports the mission and vision of the facility, division and company.
Assures quality care through the initiation and evaluation of patient care utilizing performance improvement process.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Current state of Kansas RN license, or MO Compact State license required. Certification in area of specialty preferred. BLS, ALS certifications required and maintained in monitored departments.
Experience: Three (3) years current clinical nursing experience required.
Administrative Skills: Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organization and leadership skills required.
Equipment/Machine Skills: Basic computer knowledge required.
Other Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability with the skill to educate others required.
