| Job Summary | The ESH Staff Psychologist provides group and individual psychotherapy interventions, psychological evaluations, crisis intervention, consultation, and education to patients with mental illness in a recovery-based inpatient setting. Also provides graduate student supervision and participates in hospital education and various committees. Is an active member of a multidisciplinary team. There are opportunities for research and development of evidence-based practice models. A doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology is required, as well as a license to practice psychology in the state of Kentucky. Competitive salary and excellent benefits. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information (PHI) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business by applying appropriate safeguards and sharing only the information required to deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive information overheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential by not sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds. Fully participate in all activities regarding the elimination of the use of seclusion and restraints in patient care including educational requirements, competency developmental activities, and meeting established performance goals and measures. Must have computer competency in approved systems. Must have excellent customer service skills. At least 1 year of experience in a professional setting conducting forensic psychological assessments is preferred. |
