At Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC), we're more than just a healthcare organization - we're a community dedicated to making a meaningful impact. For more than 60 years, we've been providing compassionate, high-quality care in the Greater Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and putting people first - both our patients and our employees. Whether you're on the front lines of patient care or supporting operations behind the scenes, you'll find a culture of collaboration, growth, and respect. If you're looking for a career where your work truly matters, we invite you to join us at CRMC and be part of something bigger.
Paramedics in this role provide swift and effective emergency medical services under various conditions, ensuring patient safety and delivering critical care during transport. Collaboration with healthcare teams is vital, both on-scene and in the emergency department, enhancing patient outcomes through cooperative efforts. Attention to detail is crucial in maintaining high levels of quality control by following protocols and handling equipment and procedures both routinely and in complex cases. The work environment demands adaptability and resourcefulness, particularly in emergency and high-pressure situations. Paramedics also play a key role in training and evaluating new staff, contributing to a cycle of continuous improvement and high standards within the healthcare facility.
Working at the intersection of healthcare and public safety, we bring emergency medicine directly into the community—providing advanced care before a patient even reaches the hospital. If you’re looking for a career where medicine meets independence, adrenaline meets skill, and no two days are ever the same, CRMC's Ambulance Service is where you belong. Here, you’ll work with confidence, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to helping people on their worst days. Whether you're rushing to a critical emergency in someone's home, assisting at the scene of an accident, or simply assessing a patient who has called for an ambulance 23 times this year, you will change lives. While the job can vary from tedious to maximum intensity all in the same shift, it comes with definite perks — like the camaraderie of a strong, supportive team and getting paid to enjoy a coffee with that team between calls. If you're ready to be the calm in the chaos, the expert in uncertainty, and the one who makes a difference in a patient's time of crisis, join us in the Ambulance Service at CRMC.
While the medical campus is in Crosby, Minnesota, CRMC draws market share from a much broader region in Central Minnesota. With 25 operating beds and $120 million in net patient revenues, CRMC has established itself as a key asset in the beautiful lake country of eastern Crow Wing County. CRMC has strategically partnered with health systems and institutions in Minnesota to provide a broad array of services that are not typically provided by critical access hospitals and has numerous branded service lines.
This healthcare system is a testimony to the positive, can-do spirit of its leadership, physicians, and staff. Working together, looking for ways to make things happen, they have established an integrated, 40-acre campus with a state-of-the-art hospital with technologically advanced surgical suites, advanced life support ambulance service, senior housing, and a long-term care facility. There are also three additional physician clinics in Baxter, Breezy Point and Longville. CRMC has 1,020 employees and an active medical staff of over 60 physicians and 23 advanced practice providers, which includes 15 surgeons and 45 primary care providers. More than 8,500 surgeries are performed annually at CRMC. The organization has a strong balance sheet with a solid operating margin and is the largest employer on the Cuyuna Range and the second largest employer in Crow Wing County. CRMC has been recognized nationally, regionally, and in the state for its excellence. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission Accreditation; The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons; and by the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation.
