Job Summary
Coker University, a member of NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine staff. All athletic trainers at Coker University are employed through the local hospital system, Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, and contracted to Coker University. This full-time position provides athletic training services to our student-athletes, promotes overall health and wellness, and ensures the delivery of the highest standards in sports medicine and injury care. Current sport assignment would consist of wrestling, men's lacrosse, and JV men's soccer.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
· Maintain accurate medical records and injury documentation in compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.
· Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and fellow athletic trainers to provide comprehensive care for student-athletes.
· Assist with the coordination of physicals and pre-participation evaluations.
· Supervise and mentor student interns and work study students.
· Provide on-site coverage of practices, home and away competitions, and team travel as assigned.
· Participate in university events, departmental meetings, and professional development activities.
