POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Counsels and assists patients and their families with personal and environmental difficulties which predispose illnesses or which creates obstacles in receiving maximum quality of care. Acts as a therapeutic agent by participating within a multi-disciplinary health and mental health teams. Facilitates the delivery of services and support is provided efficiently and in a timely manner. Maintains good working, patient/provider/staff relationships. Complies with and enforces University Health policies and procedures. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required. One year's post master's degree experience in a health care setting is preferred. LICENSURE Current state licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is required.

Performs radiologic procedures within the professional parameters established in registry requirements and policy and procedures specifications of the Health System. Assumes responsibility for assigned duties promptly and efficiently. Complies with instructions from supervisor to whom responsible. Contributes to the overall success of the Radiology team. Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers and other University Health employees, patients and guests.
