GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly qualified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (APRN preferred; PA-C considered) to join our outpatient practice. The APP will serve as the initial diagnostic clinician or gatekeeper for patients referred for lymphatic disease. This role requires a high level of clinical acumen to differentiate between multiple causes of edema, including lymphedema, lipedema, venous insufficiency, heart failure, and other causes of edema. The gatekeeper will perform all the initial patient evaluation to determine the cause of the edema. If a lymphatic etiology is identified the gatekeeper will refer the patient to the lymphatic therapist. They will also collaborate with the surgical team and interdisciplinary specialists to ensure appropriate patient selection and optimization for surgical lymphatic intervention if appropriate.
