JOB DESCRIPTION: Driver Rehabilitation Specialist: Driver Rehabilitation at the University of Vermont Medical Center is comprised of a small team of multi-talented occupational therapists who are Vermont Driving School Instructors and Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialists. Driver Rehabilitation Specialists provide thorough evaluations and appropriate treatments for people with conditions that may affect their ability to drive safely. They offer specialized driving programs for clients who are new or potential drivers (students), clients who have low vision, senior drivers, and drivers who require adaptive equipment. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Diagnostic Imaging Tech I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the radiology department. They operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures and the use of the c-arm, according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont. Job Description: The occupational therapist is part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing evidence-based interventions to acute rehabilitation patients. The occupational therapist collaborates with the rehabilitation team to develop a comprehensive plan of care to prepare the patients for a successful discharge. They work with a variety of patient neurological diagnoses as well as patients post multi-trauma and amputation. Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory, and other aspects of performance in a variety of contexts to support engagement in everyday life activities that affect health, well-being, and quality of life.
