Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and coordinating care, promoting recovery, ensuring safety, and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes. The RN also educates patients and families on post-operative care, coordinates discharge planning, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
