Responsibilities Progressive Care Unit RNs (PCU RNs) care for patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to require ICU care. PCU RNs use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information. PCU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Record patient’s medical information and vital signs Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays to help guide treatment Shift: 3x12 Days

Responsibilities Endoscopy Nurse (Endo RN) assists doctors with endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy RN primary responsibilities include answering patient questions, addressing their concerns, observing patient vital signs, and administering the necessary patient medication. Endoscopy RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform pre-procedure assessment, reviewing patient information, including H&P, medications, and allergies Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for endoscopic procedures Observe patient vital signs post-procedure, working with the healthcare team to monitor the recovery process Shift: 4x10 Days

Responsibilities Long Term Acute Care RNs (LTAC RNs) provide quality patient care during the patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation process. LTAC RNs collaborate with all members of a patient's healthcare team to formulate a care plan that ensures optimum outcomes and continuity of care. LTAC RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: LTAC RNs are responsible for dispensing medications, chest tubes, ventilators, wound vacs, critical care IV Drips, feeding tubes, and central lines Monitor, implement and evaluate the status of the patient Give guidance and supervision to clinical support staff Shift: 3x12 Days

ER RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage care of patients experiencing life-threatening problems and perform triage interventions Work with physicians to assist in exams, diagnostic testing, and treatments Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications Shift: 3x12 Nights

Responsibilities Neonatal Intensive Care RNs (NICU RNs) assess newborns and provide direct and individualized care. NICU RNs coordinate with the healthcare team to implement and evaluate patient care plans. NICU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer medications and nutrients to patients and monitor vital signs Provide respiratory care if applicable and specialized feedings Monitor specialized equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators Shift: 3x12 Days

MedSurg RNs prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients. Responsibilities Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN’s (PACU RNs) assess patients’ health in the pre-op state. PACU RNs are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications. PACU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Educate families and patients about homecare instructions Manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities Assess patient’s condition after surgery is performed, ensuring that all vital signs are within range Monitor patient’s condition changes and report changes to the healthcare team Perform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergencies Shift: 5x8 Days

Responsibilities Labor and Delivery RNs (L&D RNs) are responsible for monitoring patients throughout labor and serve as the primary point of contact for family members. L&D RNs monitor the baby’s heart rate and provide immediate care to the newborn. L&D RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform knowledge of phlebotomy, basic IV, and central lines Assess and record maternal vital signs throughout labor and post-partum stages Administer pain medication and other medicines as ordered Educate and support new mothers and families on infant care Shift: 3x12 Rotating
