Winston Medical Center is a comprehensive medical campus that encompasses a 10 bed hospital, 9 bed geriatric psychiatric unit, 74 bed long term care nursing home, 3 provider clinics and a 24 hour emergency department.
Winston Medical Center was destroyed by a tornado on April 28, 2014. Our long term care facility was renovated although we were only able to re-open with 74 beds. Our acute care, geri-psych unit, emergency room and one clinic are currently operating in a new transitional facility.
We are excited to soon begin construction of new facilities2 on our main campus. When complete we will operate 15 acute care/swing beds, 10 geri-psych beds, 120 long term beds and a new physician clinic.
