Beth Israel Deaconess Milton is currently hiring a Director of Risk/Patient Safety. This Director will identify, evaluate, make recommendations and oversee implementation of risk reduction strategies and improvement efforts that mitigate actual and potential harm in the delivery of care to patients. The Risk/Patient Safety Director proactively collaborates with clinical and non-clinical staff to support the functions of the Health Care Quality and Patient Safety Department and with the organization's liability carrier on loss control and claims management issues.
This position is full-time, day shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:
- Graduate level degree in nursing or equivalent healthcare related field.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts and in good standing
- Minimum of ten years' experience in healthcare with responsibilities including active participation in hospital wide patient safety performance improvement initiatives/programs.
- Experience in healthcare related Risk Management, Patient Safety, Performance Improvement or equivalent required.
