Liberty Regional Medical Center (formerly known as Liberty Memorial Hospital) was dedicated and opened to serve Liberty County on December 3, 1961 as a 28-bed acute care hospital.  Today, Liberty Regional is a very busy, full service medical center which consists of a hospital, nursing home, emergency medical services and medical practices.

The hospital sees over 50,000 patients a year (approximately 27,000 through its Emergency Department alone.) Utilizing advanced technology, world-class physicians and a highly qualified, caring staff of nurses and other clinical and non-clinical personnel, LRMC offers our community advanced healthcare services with the personalized care you and your family deserve.

The main campus is located in the Lewis Ashmore Medical Park at 462 E.G. Miles Parkway in Hinesville. This beautifully landscaped medical campus consists of nearly 20 acres of land with a 97,171 square foot facility serving as the heart of the complex. A large medical office complex is also conveniently located on-site.

Liberty Regional is one of the most technologically advanced facilities of comparable size in South Georgia. The use of high-speed fiber optics and wireless networks allows for a higher degree of efficiency and accuracy in patient care. We are especially proud of our mobile wireless point-of-care charting system.

Coastal Manor Nursing Home: is a 108-bed award winning long term skilled nursing facility located just 15 minutes from the main campus in Ludowici, Georgia. It offers 24-Hour Nursing Services, Rehabilitation Therap, Daily Activity Programs and a secure Alzheimer's/Dementia Care Specialty Care Unit.

Liberty Regional EMS: is an ambulance service operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With a fleet of 8 units, numerous ACLS Certified Paramedics and EMT's.  All of the units are equipped with state of the art advanced life support equipment, not normally found on ambulances. The expertise of the management team coupled with self-imposed guidelines, helped place Liberty Regional EMS as one of the most progressive ambulance services in the state.

Liberty Regional Medical Associates: consists of primary, OB/GYN and surgical medical practices.  Residents can feel comfortable in seeking medical treatment from providers in their hometown.

Awards

Our critical access designated facilities consist of 25 inpatient rooms. All patient rooms are private and our entire campus is smoke free.

“Critical Access Hospital” is a designation given to certain rural hospitals by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This designation was created by Congress in the 1997 Balanced Budget Act in response to a string of hospital closures in the 1980s and early 1990s.
