As part of the Patient Care Services – Surgical Services team and under the direction of a Registered Nurse and within AORN standards and guidelines, the Surgical Technologist or PeriOp LPN: Retrieves and review case cart to ensure all physician requested supplies, instruments and equipment are available and sterile for use in case. Opens sterile supplies according to aseptic technique in preparation for the surgical procedure. Scrubs for cases according to established sterile procedures.
