Job Summary :     The Supervisor of Pharmacy Operations position helps to participate in, direct, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department related to medication preparation and distribution and other pharmacy supported services. The Supervisor of Pharmacy Operations assigns duties and tasks to employees; monitors workload and makes appropriate adjustment to achieve patient care goals; creates and monitors work schedule to ensure adequate staffing. Additionally, the Supervisor of Pharmacy Operations facilitates pharmacy technician meetings and other department-initiated communication such as shift huddles and safety huddles. Ensure staff accountability with policies and procedures; monitors and identifies opportunities for department and personnel performance improvement; conducts 1 on 1 meetings with team, documenting progress, motivating, and corrective action, if needed.

Staff pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, and provide drug information.  Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel.  In the absence of the Pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager. Shift: First shift, 40 hrs. per week, every 4th weekend, rotating holidays Requirements Licensed as a Pharmacist by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
