Overview The supervisor shall be directly responsible for overall planning, implementing, directing and controlling the activities of the Food Service Department. Responsibilities • Directs Food Service staff in preparing, cooking and distribution food in accordance with approved menus to include menu review, meal plans, portion control. • Prepares daily and monthly inventory on meat cooler and freezer items. • Prepares schedules of dietary positions, ensuring adequate coverage with minimum/no overtime. • Plans and supervises meal preparation for special functions. • Works with cooks and dietary assistants in preparation of meats, vegetables, sauces and preparation of special diet foods. • Completes all daily reports as required.
