Job Description
Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City seeks an RN Med Surg to deliver exceptional, evidence-based care to a diverse adult patient population. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Document all care, assessments, and interventions in the EMR accurately and timely
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice efforts
- Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and professional development
